In 2005 my wife suggested a trip to Ireland. I immediately said “YES!” We were getting ready to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. I had no idea that this trip would change our lives forever. We returned to live in Ireland the following year. We now live on a hill in Novelty that reminds us of Ireland. Since our return we have visited Scottish friends that we met in Ireland several times. We have traveled throughout Scotland and England with our friends as our travel guides. While visiting, we were taken by the slate serving boards and kitchen pieces Scottish hand crafters make.
